I agree, except for Love this year, and maybe even a couple of the LBs. QB should not be drafted high this year either.

“Sign these” matches up nicely with our free agency.

Let’s hope we follow it in the draft too

When Kellen Moore, says hes "flexible" in this draft. It means hes trading up.

quote:

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Saints coach Kellen Moore has been scouting a wider variety of prospects heading into his second NFL draft with rebuilding New Orleans.

A year on the job and a fruitful free agency period this offseason have given Moore the freedom to keep his options open when the Saints are on the clock.

“Free agency was a really good process,” Moore said. “We were able to add some really key pieces.

“Everyone hopes you can go into the draft saying, ‘Hey, kind of however this thing falls, we have some flexibility in this draft,’” Moore added. “There’s always unpredictability of who’s going to get drafted above you. And so I feel like we’re in a healthy spot in that case.”

A year ago, the Saints had apparent needs at offensive tackle because of the premature retirement of Ryan Ramczyk and at quarterback because of uncertainty surrounding Derek Carr, who was still on the roster during the draft but ultimately retired as well.

So it says exactly what I’ve been saying on here for months. No value in drafting a rb, guard, or safety this high.

I could not imagine watching the draft with you. Or any game at all for that matter. You’re insufferable.

I’ve said that and been downvoted for two months.

That’s why Delane is above Downs.

This is great in a vacuum. What if the “sign these” players are ranked as significantly better on your board?

How far ahead does the “sign” guy have to be over the “draft” guy to draft the sign guy lol

We likely have our answer atleast for the near future at QB in Shough.

We have a good option at WR. Not a top 5, but a top 10. This is why I would not mind having one more bad season and draft Jeremiah Smith next year in the top 5.

Our LT looks like a homerun for the future.

Our RT looks very good.

We have two good value players at DE in Young and Granderson. Would love to get Bailey to replace Granderson mid year.

Kool-Aid and Riley are good but if we can't get Bailey or Reese then Delane is the value pick here as three CB's are necessary in today's NFL and we just lost Taylor.

My top 5 would be
Reese
Bailey
Styles - hybrid NB/LB in a Wagner/Urlacher mold.
Delane
Bain

Need to hope for four offensive players to go top 7
