politicians have been telling us the number of illegals in the US was roughly 11 million.

Not sure it is 100 million.
Certain it is way over 10 to 11 million, though. My best guess is 35 or so.
Or about 1 out of 10 folks in the nation right now.

Media has reported the number at 10-15 million for the last 30 years. My best guess lines up with yours. 30+ million.

1/10 is but estimate of 35 million . It’s probably close to 50 million which would be 15%

100 million seems high. But it’s definitely over 11. I’d say 25-35 million

Foreign born according to bls extrapolated is close to 50 million. course that does not include the anchor babies.
They have done a great job of spreading it around as well. I was looking at some census data and was amazed that some areas of Alabama, western part of Virginia, have big slices of hispanics now.

I have my doubts as to illegals accounting for 100 million of our population. Take these census numbers into account:
1950: 151,325,798
1960: 179,323,175
1970: 205,052,000
1980: 226,545,805
1990: 248,709,873
2000: 281,421,906
2010: 308,745,538
2020: 331,449,281
2026: 349,040,000 (estimated)
Looking at the rate of growth since 1950 as each census was conducted, I'd be hard pressed to believe that 100 million persons counted in the census are illegals. However, I wouldn't find it hard to believe that the number may be in excess of 30 million.
