Not a peep or the mowing down of protesters in the streets. Unless some recent statement I haven’t seen.
Very hypocritical therefore I discount what he says.
And if he can’t distinguish between good and evil, well then he shouldn’t be Pope.

As a Catholic I am ashamed of what is coming from Pope Leo although I had the same issue with Benedict and Francis - living the Gospel and US foreign policy should not be mutually exclusive propositions - being for peace and how you achieve peace are two totally separate propositions - if you simply take at face value Pope Leo's position, military conflict is never appropriate to achieve peace even if the blood of a few bad actors is shed to spare the blood of thousands or hundreds of thousands - under Leo's way of thinking, stopping Hitler was not a noble and moral cause - the fact of the matter is that sometimes diplomacy does not work especially if you are dealing with a religious death cult who openly proclaims that death to non-believers is their mission
