I don't know why the ladies are leading the charge, but apparently the men are supporting. Luna was saying she had whipped enough votes to have Swalwell removed. Which, I assume that's why he went ahead and resigned.

I think they pretty much have to expell them from Congress first. It apparently isn't easy to arrest sitting members of Congress. Once they're removed a lot of their protection goes away.
If the DoJ is dragging their feet, this is a very good first step.
And also, note how now that Pam Bondi is gone shite is starting to happen.
