They can't be arrested while Congress is in session and then you also have the "DoJ policy" of not doing shite to them during campaign season as well.
I mean, it could be done, but like I said, if the DoJ drags their feet, expelling them from Congress is a great first step because a lot of that protection is removed. And you also create pressure for the DoJ to act by doing this.
Charges will come. Look at what Patel just said about Swalwell. Now that he is no longer in Congress, he is now under investigation.
It shouldn't be this way, but it seems it is.
