Why take Simpson out? Ruckert is one of those that Jay has a blind spot about.

I don’t think too many folks on here know who that is, but he played 1st base for the Orioles way back when. He and Yorke could’ve been sumo wrestlers.

Boog Powell was a big strong man. Zach York is an out of shape fat guy who can’t hit SEC pitching.

Fun fact.
Boog Powell was from Key West.
I found out that information randomly the other day with another opponent had a player from Key West.

Davey Johnson at 2nd and Mark Belanger at SS. Superb infield on that 1970 team managed by Earl Weaver. Weaver’s key to success was”pitching, defense and the 3run homer.”

Probably pulled Simpson after that blunder on the bases.

One of the best World Series ever! I was sick with the flu that whole week, so o got to see every pitch. Robinson was a wizard.

You guys switch up on a player quick. It was just a couple months ago you guys were trying to come up with names for him, now he's a bust.

My first thought was Rusty Staub because was coming in to pinch hit, but I needed to go bigger so Boog Powell entered my mind for the first time in at least 30 years.
