Why does Rory keep using an 8i on these par 3’s?

I almost exclusively use my 9i on those situations so I don’t overshoot it like Rory’s doing.

Probably because it’s the distance he hits it and he’s comfortable with using it. Wish I had the juice to hit an 8i 180 yards and be long from time to time

Different strokes for different folks. I use a 7-wood on par threes. Never used any iron to tee off. You use what’s best for you.
