Horizon Chapter 2 Will we ever get to see it?

I hope. I loved part 1. Say what you will about Kevin Costner, (Actually don’t. He’s a goddamn American treasure) the man can make a good western.

I enjoyed Chapter 1 too, although at this point I’d have to rewatch it to remember what happened.

Chapter 2 is finished, right? Like it’s been screened and everything I think. Wish they’d just drop it on HBO Max or something.

Supposedly all of 2 and 3 were shot. 2 has even been edited and finalized.

The third part was only shot. The fourth part was TBD.

From what I recall, after Part 1 flopped incredibly bad ad the Box office, Costner cut all his losses and wouldn't put another penny into the project and hoped to sell it off to a streamer to try to recoup anything he could.

He supposedly invested about 38M of his own money. I think it grossed about $30M at the box office, total.

Someone like HBO would Baoacally have to fund the rest of the film and/or pay editors to re-cut what they had to finish it without shooting part 4.

In saying all that, if be amazed if we ever see another second of the project.

Now this I would definitely like to see.

Pretty sure the whole project was such a massive flop that after chapter 1 was released that they basically abandoned it. Even though the majority of chapter 2 was already edited and mostly ready for release. The problem is the whole IP is tied up in various lawsuits that would take away from any rights deal to get part 2 finished and on some streaming services. Apparently they stiffed a bunch of people working on the movie with a bunch of unpaid bills
