Wife and I are tagging along on a friend's vacation to Exuma. Staying at Hideaways at Palm Bay. Any suggestions or cool things to see or do that we may not know? Have our own boat booked for 4 days, and a rental car as well.

Boat out to Chat N Chill, good food, great drinks and atmosphere. South there is Tropic of Cancer Beach and Forbes Hill, both nice beaches.
North you can go to pig island, as touristy as they say it is, it was a cool spot to hit. Iguana beach is close to that, and that was cool also.

Recommended places with a boat:
-Man O War Cay (catch it at low tide, unbelievable sand bars) Pack a lunch and ice chest.
-Chat n Chill (most popular, but most crowded. Get the conch salad) Great beach.
-peace n plenty (next to chat n chill, less crowded, good lunch, and great drinks) Great beach.
-snappy turtle (great lunch and view)
-Blue hole for snorkeling (just to the left of snappy turtle in the hurricane hole)
-Hoopers Bay (swim with turtles, take some cabbage or lettuce)
-Blu on the water (can get there by boat or car, but dock is a little tricky, across from Man O War) More upscale restaurant. Great Food and view.
There are some other great places to the north and south, but I would not recommend going by boat. Hop in your car and explore!

Thanks for posing this OP. We’re going in July for a week. Have a house rented just south of the lazy river cut on Little Exuma. The teens will be able to wade/paddle over to it.

Try the Fish Fry which is a collection of local food/ drink places. Had fun doing karaoke and conch fritters there. There are also some private home bars which are fun.

Not joking even a little. Watch out for those "pigs" because they are massive hogs. One stepped on my foot in the water as soon as I got out of the boat and really screwed me up for several days.
They are aggressive trying to get food and will step on you / push you around.

We went in February, and had a great time besides being a little cooler than I would have liked. We rented a boat one day just to explore a bit. Had a great lunch at Baymahni.
