LSU Softball wins 4 - 1 vs. 11th ranked Arizona.

Very good win. Need to win this series to improve our chances of hosting.
Didn't get to watch much of the game except Sierra Daniel's 3 run homerun. I guess Heavener pitched a very good game, giving up 5 hits, but only 1 run which was unearned.
Again, very good win.

We give Beth a lot of grief but the sec schedule gets easier
Need to get that above 500 these next few series and 2/3 against Arizona would be good
Beth has done a nice job with this staff because it was a huge question mark coming into the season

The transfers have really improved their hitting and CC and Heavener have done an even better job, pitching.
Now, if we can only get Maci and Tori to get back to last year's stats.

was gonna try to make the arizona series but i am tied up with business and high school ball then travel ball workouts.
i should be at the auburn series. i might make an ole miss game if our playoff game is next friday

We did get a couple breaks with the wind blowing in...may have saved a HR or too for Arizona. But Heavener has been at her best the last 3 weeks or so, save for game 3 vs Oklahoma, when they were seeing her for a second time that weekend.
Arizona looked like a team that wasn't comfortable playing out of the desert where the ball doesn't carry.
Arizona's RPI is 12 coming into the weekend. Series win would be huge. And even though Ole Miss is 2-10 in SEC, their RPI is still top 20. Getting them at home next week should be advantageous.

Tori is slowly coming around. 2 HR in Missouri series and a rocket for a double tonight.
Maci hit one hard tonight into an out and struck out looking twice. But she has also been a little better.

Agreed, if ppl gonna criticize Beth they gotta give her credit!! Over the last 3 weeks Heavener has been as good as anyone in the SEC!! JH gets the credit but so does Beth!

Both had open conference weekends and I guess both wanted a good RPI opponent. It is working well for us so far. Need at least one more win though.
