Hamas Signals No Retreat: The US Fantasy of Disarmament and Peace
Hamas remains fully committed to jihad (holy war) and rejects disarmament.
The "Board of Peace" is therefore confronting a harsh reality: Hamas, like Iran, is not motivated by deadlines, incentives, or promises of reconstruction. It is motivated by ideology and by war.
In Hamas's worldview, the war is not about the Gaza Strip. It is about reshaping the Middle East -- and beyond -- in its own image.
Any policy based on the assumption that Hamas can be persuaded to disarm is simply detached from reality.
The danger is that this rhetoric is designed to inflame public opinion in Arab and Islamic countries against their own governments, potentially destabilizing countries such as the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain that have chosen a path of pragmatism, normalization, and cooperation with Israel and the West.
Hamas remains a partner of Iran's regional war machine, a committed enemy of peace, and a direct threat to the stability of the Middle East.
The question is whether the US is ready to listen.

This is a fight of good vs evil
And when good people do nothing, evil will continue to breed.
Good luck with that.

Of course they do. Just because you destroy capabilities doesn’t mean you changed their mind/beliefs.

Iran was the engine that made it possible. Without Iran, they don’t have the funding, organization, or weapons.
They are reduced to a loose band of jihadists with no influence.
That’s why the Mullahs cannot persist. They will restart the machine and the cycle will continue.

You can not effectively fight these type of extreme muslims and try to protect the civilians that they live amongst. You can only wage wars of annihilation with them. As long as we keep worrying about the general populations they rule over, we will continue to waste blood and treasure while the core issue persists.
It's sad but true. It won't be until we feel threatened enough to wage total war that we'll get anywhere. On the other hand, by the time things get bad enough that the American people are willing to stomach doing what it takes, it may be too late.
