Going to look at one with 80 hours. Should I be looking for another brand? I've seen the Bad boy elite zt 60 and the gravely pro turn 160. It does have a pretty good air filter setup on the kawasaki and the foot adjust cutting height.
Looking for real world opinions.

I have a Hustler Fastrak and no real complaints. It doesn't hold a candle to my Kubota, but its lighter and didn't cost $10K when I bought it so...

Why are you looking at a used mower? Is there that much of a price difference? I've had two bad experiences with used lawn equipment so I'm pretty biased against the idea. But Hustler makes a good mower so you have that going for you.

I had one for eight years, just changed normal wear parts (fluids, belts and spindle bearings).
Replaced with a diesel due to larger yard size.

I have that mower. Been damn good for what I paid for it (new). I have about 300 hours on mine and no indication it won't last another 300. I just change the oil once per year or so, and change a battery about every 2 winters. Not sure I've done anything else aside from sharpening blades. Can't say I recall ever having as much as a low tire. Amongst our 4 vehicles, 2 boats, 4 wheeler, SXS, and tractor, it's probably the most reliable mode of transportation I own.

Thanks for the replies, Going to check it out tomorrow and probably the gravely as well. The gravely owner (144 hrs on machine) Said he needed to sell as his house closed today.

Buy it. My Dad still runs his 2004 Hustler Fastrack 52” with 20hp Honda engine.

You're making it tough I checked out the Gravely today, it is a pro turn 160 with 144 hours, 22 model, it's got the donaldson air filter and the 3400 hydro's, seat has the dial-a-weight adjust that works pretty decent. I ran it through its' paces and almost the owners fence and it's pretty tight. According to Grok they gravely has a 7 gauge deck vs 10 on the hustler. I'm going monday to check out the Hustler. I'm going to want to add a canopy on either machine i get, any recommendation on what and where for those?

Follow up, got the Gravely. I would have been ok going with either machine but the guy came off 1200 and needed it gone, the shine being gone was the only thing to note on the condition of either machine. I do like the double air filter setup on the gravely. The discharge chute is mud flap material on the gravely and formed abs or something on the hustler. The spindle covers are steel on the gravely and plastic on the hustler. other than that, Very similar machines.

Congrats on the new machine. Hope you get many years out of it. If you have any trees a canopy will be a nightmare.

I did already come to that same conclusion I like lower hanging limbs more than I like mower shade. Broke out my dundee hat and long sleeves.

I learned that the hard way. I had 6 acres 80% wide open pasture but my live oaks and persimmons tore up the cover and lights on my little Kubota B26. I had to rewire it and replace the lights before I sold it.
