Yeah, I have so many questions. Interested to see how this plays out.

POTUS has no authority to mandate this stuff.

Really means nothing. He has no authority to mandate anything.

Doesn’t matter, they’ll wind up taking it to court.

Actually it does mean something, it means they are forced to fix their broken system...

Unfortunately if it makes sense and would fix a certain problem, they don’t want any part of it. So it’ll get shut down like the rest of the good ideas brought up to fix this shite show.

In this case yes. It’s not enforceable.

The SEC and other power conferences have been talking about leaving the NCAA anyway.

That’s all this is. It’s not enforceable.

Really think he’s set an initiative to get congress off their asses and figure it out. He knows he doesn’t have authority but once he executes the order something has to move. Now it’s up to Congress to work it out or at least get the discussion going.

I like the rules that this suggests…. At least on the surface, 5 years to play 4, and 1 time transfer, sounds very reasonable to me.
I think it should remain 4 years of eligibility.
However, the president needs to do president things, not college sports things.
