Meh. Every season is different. We could go 14-16 and finish 10th in the league this year. And our RPI is atrocious and won’t break any ties we might have. 14-16 doesn’t get us in automatically this year at all.

14 wins is as close to automatic as it gets. LSU will not be left out at 14. Probably not 13 either, even with a hilarious RPI

I believe the last time that a SEC team won 14 conference games and got left out was 2017.

I disagree. I think if you're 16-14 in SEC play and win forty regular season games, you're in the top sixteen.

Did you read what I posted?
They have 21 games left. I said if they win 2/3 they will make it. Is that wrong? We know the reality is they won’t win either. So deduct 3 from 17 and you’re at 14 and MAYBE in. The conference RPI will not be as strong this season with LSUs down.
Consider this. We know they won’t win either Miss St, UF and UGA. That 14 now. You don’t win TAMU, Tenner, Ole Piss, and Auburn and you’re out looking in.

Why do people on this board act like midweek games are more impactful than they are? Florida in 2024 lost 26 regular season games. 5 of those were midweek games, seven if you count midweek games with a pulse. They went 13-17, made the regionals, and made Omaha. RPI and SOS will improve throughout the season as our schedule is filled with top 10 opponents

Mid week games only don’t matter when you’re winning most sec series. When you’re on the bubble you need every win you can get. It heavily affects rpi. It could be the difference of us hosting and not hosting. If we were sitting 6-3 in the sec right now it wouldn’t matter that much. But every single midweek game is huge from here on out: I’m not sure where you got it don’t matter from
