Giants fans have zero patience after the last few years of .500 ball along with the hated rival Dodgers becoming nearly unstoppable spending a billion dollars & now this with hiring a college coach as Manager. If this guy is a bust(and after 3 games it is as bad as it gets) then Buster Posey has to answer to them for this mistake.

Tony V on pace to go 0-162
Luckily for him, tonight was the last he will see of THE JUDGE!

That's probably just as good for Aaron (1-4 today). Although that did raise his average on the season to a blistering .154.

And the Yankees are still 3-0.

Kind of wish he would have MLB success to keep him out of college. He'll have his pick of any college if he needs to return.

i can definitely see him going back to Utk (and vols would gladly take him back) if it doesn’t work out in the majors

Arkansas when DVH retires in 2-3 years is what most people think. Timeline would be about perfect.

He's from Missouri and a Missouri alum.. I don't know much about their baseball situation but I'd give them good odds if MLB doesn't work out.
Also it's 3 games. For a team that hasn't had a winning season since 2021. It's not a good start but not time to panic either.

I think he has some bad blood with Missouri when they didn’t offer him the job right before he got the Tennessee gig. He’s made some comments in post game pressers throughout the years alluding to that. I could be wrong though

You're probably right, I didn't know that. He was already at UT when I moved here.

Missouri does not have a baseball program. He got his real start to his career at Arkansas from 2014-2017 as lead recruiter and top assistant and has talked about how much he loved his time there which is why that's where he would be most likely to end up if the timing works with DVH retiring.

In 2014, he left TCU for Arkansas, where he became one of the premier assistant coaches in the country and contributed to the Razorbacks becoming one of the most competitive programs in the nation during his four-year tenure.

After the 2nd game
The Giants were one-hit Friday and are the first team ever with no runs and five or fewer hits in their first two games of a season.
And it came out that Vitello gave a “fire and brimstone “ speech before opening day
That should bode well for 162 games
