NYTimes - US Marines arrive in the Middle East

Here’s the latest.
An expeditionary force of American Marines arrived in the Middle East on Saturday, as the Houthis, the Iran-allied militant group in Yemen, entered the widening Iran conflict by launching an unsuccessful missile attack on Israel.
Even though President Trump has said there are “very strong talks” underway with Iran on a diplomatic solution, a series of strikes on Friday and Saturday gave no indication the fighting was ebbing.

They volunteered to be the tip of the spear.
The U.S. has an interest in that part of the world and can’t have a nation state that chants “death to America” for the past 47 yrs while actively seeking the weapon to end it all.

North Korea chants death to america and already has nukes. We also have interest in that part of the world....should we be sending troops over there too then?

Does NK really chant death to America? I’m not saying they don’t, but I don’t recall seeing it the way I can easily recall seeing it with the Iranian regime?
Has NK actively killed US troops over the course of the last 3 decades?
Is NK actively interfering with their region and their neoighbors? Are they openly sponsoring terror proxies throughout the world?
Anyway, here’s the answer to your question…….. we aren’t send troops over there because NK is China’s little bitch on China’s leash and if NK got out of line in any important way that disrupted China’s agenda or Chinas world trade or Chinas security then China would be up NKs arse faster than we could fly stealths over there to do it ourselves.
That’s the fallacy in your argument. NK has a nuke. And nothing else worthwhile. Including an ability or desire to deliver it anywhere important to us. And China has them on such a tight leash that they are a threat to nobody

The point I was making to his hysterics troops heading into Mideast is that we always have troops at bases there. At this point it’s not Afghanistan, Iraq or even the 90’s Baltic issues

For the record, I think this conflict is now primarily about oil because trumps dumb decision to start this war of choice has resulted in the closing of the Strait. Now we cant leave until its open and that will be extremely costly to do.
This war didnt start due to oil, the reason we got into this is because israel finally got their useful idiot in the white house
