The future for the next few years are hybrids. That’s what most companies are likely switching to. The infrastructure doesn’t exist for mass adoption of EVs. Hybrids can get great gas mileage in most cases. Companies like Toyota with very reliable hybrid technologies are selling them like crazy. You can get 40 miles per gallon and you don’t have the inconvenience of charging.
