LSU working to lure Wade back before firing McMahon
Honestly, it's exactly what we should have done when Saban wanted to come back in 2007. Cut bait and hire the proven winner.
LSU did the right thing here. What we fired Wade for is now 100% legal.

Remember they were praising Roy Williams for going this route.

Miles won 10+ games in 2005 and 2006. 2005 he had a pass on most things due to Katrina. 2006 we had the #1 qb in draft and stomped Notre Dame.
Getting rid of miles would have been extremely difficult.
McMahon never showed any life and would have been an easy dump.

Miles was coming off two consecutive 11-win seasons and a sugar bowl beatdown of Notre Dame. These situations aren’t comparable at

Roy Williams is one of them, so they were happy for him. We are apparently not in the club.

I'm aware, and I knew I was walking into a firestorm with that comment, but Saban had built us back and won it all for us. I still would've taken him back at that time, even though Miles was obviously successful for us. Saban was the one that got away and I 100% would have taken him back and just accepted the public black eye for it.

They had no problem when Calipari pimped himself to Arkansas while still employed by Kentucky. Bilas has been advocating for unlimited transfer and pay for players for years but wants to have a morality moment when it comes to Will Wade "tranferring" for a better opportunity. F@$k off Jay

What makes the courtship clumsy? Seems like we wanted our guy and went out and got him.

The media doesn’t like LSU. Never has. Idk why this is surprising. It’s like most of the media has had a giant tree branch up their arse about LSU ever since they won the national championship in football in 2003.
