This is a docuseries narrated by Liev Schriber. It’s about professional bowlers. It is hilarious. If you think King Pin was a stretch your wrong

I bowled mens league for 3 years and found myself disinterested and fast forwarding to see who did what. As for the main a-hole, there's 1 just like him at every alley. Dudes a bitch and only talks that way because no ones smacked him yet. Similar to billy bobs character in tombstone.

I had no idea about the oil on the lane thing.

Oil pattern reads are what separate the pros from the ams. It is also why some ams get deluded looking at their scores in their local league and thinking they could go pro.

Yes, even here in BR, it varies from bowling center to bowling center. Don Carters put out an oil pattern conducive to high scoring, while Circle Bowl used patterns that were much trickier. A 220 at Don Carters is/was not equal to a 220 at Circle.

Same. And that they have a ball boy there with them. The bowler in the second episode was an a-hole but I actually thought the ball boy needed a good smack across the face too.

"You going to make any suggestions?"
"Well if you throw them like that nothing will work."

I would have had to pimp slap him. Can you imagine a caddie saying that to a pro golfer? He'd be fired on the spot.

I like the afro dude though.

trust me, they say MUCH worse things to each other. Its misreading putts or making your guy's life difficult that will get you the ol heave ho.

THAT said, i love dialogue like this. Some of these guys are amazing shite talkers.

Once I was at the student union lanes throwing rocks, like 7 strikes in a row.
Now I know it was just a nice oil pattern.

Not necessarily. Could be you just were hitting your marks with regularity.
They change the patterns regularly. The same spots may not work for you next time. The pros know how to read the oil by the way the ball breaks, and adjust accordingly.
Also, it’s possible the lanes at the student union may have been oiled in a generous pattern that day. Who knows. I personally can’t read the oil for shite. I just try to find the best place to let it go.
