It’s hideous and adds a dullness to the game that the game itself has to overcome. It couldn’t be that hard. I don’t like the fact that it’s the same markings as the first four but I could live with that if the floors didn’t look like shite

Losers on this board loved the “fresh and clean” look that took over everything from jerseys to websites.

Was just thinking the same thing. I’d like some uniqueness to each court. It makes the games more memorable. Every court looking exactly the same makes it harder for the games to stick in my mind.
Like the Super Bowl logos. When they had unique logos, it was easier for each Super Bowl to be imprinted on my mind.

Just go back to the days when, if you played a game on someone’s home court, the floor design and logo never changed. I can countless regionals being played on college campuses and the floor design was the same as it was all year.

All these sites are true neutral sites these days. I don’t think a single arena that regularly hosts a college basketball team’s home games is being used in the NCAA tournament.

Miss the random locations too. Greenville is about as random as it gets nowadays.
Worcester, Ma
Uniondale, NY
Richmond, Va
Jacksonville

This year, only San Diego. Last year there were three, Lexington, Providence, and Milwaukee. Next year, I believe there’s three as well.

I miss the regionals at Boise St. and The Pit in New Mexico.
