I have 2hrs a day in commute so I joined audible last year so I can get reading in since I don’t have a ton of time. We’re doing Universal with the kids this year and it’s been a few years since I read the books so I decided to download the full cast editions. If you’re a fan, or maybe never have read the novels, it’s exceptionally well done and well produced. The voice cast is excellent (Hugh Laurie, Mark Addy, Simon Pegg to name a few.) I just finished Chamber of Secrets and am starting Azkaban on the way home today.

This isn't about Harry Potter but most libraries have audiobook apps. I'm able to listen to just about anything that isn't an Audible exclusive for free. Sometimes you have to wait a couple of weeks to check a new book out but it's worth it. I have a similar commute and would go broke if I only used Audible. Might be worth checking with yours.

I listened to the Jim Dale readings this year. Was my first time reading/listening to the books.

I am very excited to listen to the full cast versions in a few years when I revisit it.

Have fun. If its their first time, the kids will enjoy it.

Last time we went, we had more fun in Universal than Disney.

Get the kids wands so they can do all the magic spells located around the Harry Potter area.

All of this. I listened to the Jim Dale versions over the last year, and they were incredibly entertaining.

I am having lots of trouble with the boring narrator and professor Snape. Both voices are horrible in my opinion. Snape sounds like a scrawny Indian guy that isn't scary but whiny. The narrator Cush Jumbo just reminds me of someone reading without much emotion. Everyone else has been great though. First book struggled with back ground noise being louder than Neville at times, but they mostly fixed it

I liked Jim Dale WAY more than the big cast.
