Pastor hires translator to follow him around so he can preach LIVE in Spanish and English

If he was actually in the center of all the miraculous works he claimed to have going on around him, why would a translator be needed? Seems like he should have been able to speak any language necessary if this was the gospel as presented in the first century when miracles were a sign provided to show the veracity of the apostles' doctrine. FOr some reason or the other, I just don't picture Peter, James, John, or even Paul hopping around the stage and huffing and puffing like that.
