What public course? Yardage? Slope?

Watch the US Open in June. They’ll be several top amateurs in the world competing on a public course.

What do you mean? Shinnecock is not a public course.

Providence Golf course in Monroe GA.
I have played , River Forrest, Heron Bay and Georgia National, which are part of the same group.
Yardage, not sure, but it looked like from the Gold (back) tees.
Slope? No clue, but Heron Bay is fairly flat, but has a lot of bunkers. River Forrest is very hilly and Georgia National is long, hilly with some ~ 90 degree doglegs.
The yardages may be below 7,000, but they are not easy.

If it's below 7000, it's easy for a top amateur. There's nothing they can do to make it difficult, outside of getting the greans to 13 or so, and even then, it's not difficult for guys hitting 300 yd drives every time, if not more. If top amateur is top 100 in the world, they shoot -7 on every avg public course.

That’s one of the more exclusive clubs in the northeast
