I noticed yesterday it was reported they were putting boats in the area or some shite and now it's being reported that there is heavy Chinese aircraft activity near the island.

Well, apparently Taiwan only has 11 days worth of gas reserves and the strait of Hormuz is effectively closed. It may be worth the gamble to them.
