He got who he wanted. There wasn't many big names in the portal this year. A few flirted but stayed put, others followed their coach from one place to another. Jay stated he felt good with what we already had in place returning and wanted to fill in the roster with the right guys that fit. So far its not working.

If there were ever a time to use Lane’s “it’s different”, it would be how LSU baseball should be treated in the dividing up of revenue share compared to other schools.
Baseball here has a special place and should be treated as such.

Omar Serna got paid a ton of money to be here. He isn’t good.

Serna is a freshman. He will be good.
Yorke has like the 3rd highest average and on base percentage among the starters. He can throw the ball 90 feet. It was an off balance throw due to the the trampoline bounce from the turf

Great. In this NIL era I don’t care if you’re a freshman, he’s paid like a top 5 player on the team. You wouldn’t know anything about that.
Casan Evans is being paid as much as a starter on the football team, he can’t make it out of the 4th inning in an SEC start.

Caraway sucked last year. He just had a really good post season.
