Connor Lew is someone who likely would’ve been a 2nd rd pick if he didn’t tear his acl.. we don’t need him to start and could let him develop for a year or two behind McCoy.
Mccoys aging and injury history.. if we can replace him before we have to start extending Fuaga and Banks that would be ideal.

It looks from the first draft this group likes healthy high character captains and lots of snaps. We'll see how they approach this next draft. The previous group liked to often draw on a inside straight...a lot.

Yes. He can play C/ OG and can be very good. Caleb Banks can also be very good at DT once he recovers from the broken foot. You draft those guys off ceiling and not floor, especially if they fall a little bit.
There would probably be some melts if we went Rd2 Banks and Rd3 Lew but that would be pretty good value.

I'd feel more comfortable draftng a guy with a repaired ACL than a big guy with foot problems. Once those happen they seem to haunt those big boys forever.

Logan Jones should be available in the 4th. Can never go wrong with OL from Iowa.

I’d take a flyer on Pat Coogan in the 5th.

The previous group liked to think they were lightyears smarter than every other team bc they absolutely CRUSHED the draft in 2017. It was so frustrating. I’ve always loved the draft. I went to the draft the year we took Olave in Vegas. Nothing worse than alll the talking in circles about this guy or that guy and getting so jacked the day of the draft (the whole week I’m excited) for the commish to walk up to that podium and say Payton F’ng Turners name.
