Fantastic analysis of the war by Dr John Mearsheimer

One thing he speculates is that Iran MIGHT destroy desalination water plants, which will not only destroy the ability for fresh drinking water, but also prevent the fresh water needed for oil and gas production
the main theme is that Dr Mearsheimer does not think Iran is going to back down any time soon

If you start holding your own people hostage that way, good chance you find yourself with occupiers at your front door. And it would be warranted.

No, they haven’t. They’re only slightly more serious than mcgregor and Ritter.

Exactly. Is it a war or just a good ole arse kicking?
I feel like "war" implies someone is actually fighting back.

From Grok:
Qatar: 61% of total water supply (highest among Gulf states; >99% of drinking water).
Bahrain: 59% of total water supply (>90% of drinking water).
Kuwait: 47% of total water supply (~90% of drinking water).
United Arab Emirates (UAE): 41% of total water supply (~42% of drinking water in most reports).
Oman: 23% of total water supply (~86% of drinking water).
Saudi Arabia: 18% of total water supply (~70% of drinking water).
Israel: Desalination provides 86% of the country’s drinkable/potable water.

They're all great.
Throw in Lt. Col. Davis, Col. Wilkerson, Larry Johnson and Ray McGovern, too.

Is firing off missiles considered fighting back?

Yep, Dr Mearsheimer is not as smart as many of the geniuses here on PT, he only teaches at one of the highest academic universities in the nation

Iran already has water shortages. This could backfire badly on them.
Let’s get weapons to the opposition and make the IRG come out of hiding then blast the rats when they leave their nests.

Nah, that's like waking up after a beat down and swinging punches at your friend that barely liked you anyway.

yes, and both were equally as hard on Obama and Biden, Bush, Clinton, etc., as they are on Trump

Got it. Iran is not fighting back so this is not a war.
I understand.

Its a bombing campaign. No need for a real war.

He’s been wrong about the Ukraine War so why should we trust him now?
