Saw a nasty slider in that sequence.
Wonder if Jay projects him as a pitcher or a position player?

Based on everything I've read about him, pretty sure he's coming here as a middle infielder.

I know people talk about Cags as a big time two way success story. Not enough people talk about Spencer Schwellenbach.

Last pitch looked like a ball

Good call. I liked Brendan McKay, too.

Let’s not forget about Mr Danny Hultzen from Virginia that was Mr do everything for them until he was eventually defeated by our beloved tigers in the 09 CWS.

He’s really really good. In my opinion he’s currently the best player in DFW and there is a bunch of good ones.
Also, I’m under the impression that he doesn’t want to pitch and they only use him in really high leverage situations only

I think so too. Prospects miss all the time but this kid has a skill set that leaps off the page

Has there been anymore talk on the MLB creating the college eligibility rule similar to the NFL and not allowing high school prospects to be draft eligible?

No.
It was floated out there by one prospect writer. It would be bad for the game overall and bad for the players. I don't think it's something that will even be touched on in this CBA, but down the road the owners could introduce it as a way to get something else they want. Basically using it as a compromise piece to take off the table in exchange for something else.

I went watch him play last Friday. He had 2 or 3 putouts from SS to first and caught a line drive and doubled up the runner on first. Didn't have any DPs turned. Hit a triple, deep sac fly, and a flyout or groundout. He didn't pitch. Kid looked really good and still has one year of high school left.
I think his team Byron Nelson is in the top 5 in the state in 6A baseball.
I talked to his dad and he said just that week he was over at Brad Hawpe's house taking batting practice with his son Drake (who is a LSU commit too, same class).
here are some pitching highlights from tonight when he came in to close in a game tonight.
