LINK This came in the mail a few weeks ago. I thought it was a joke but it is not. An open container ticket from spring break 26 years ago for $117. Surprised it didn’t rack up to the thousands with late fees. But damn, are they pulling out any ticket from decades ago and trying to collect ??
I paid it simply out of the fact they took the time to do it.

That’s hilarious. Any reason you don’t pay it back then?

Doesn’t even make sense. If they’ve been actively trying to recover it, the fees and interest would be 20x that by now.

If they didn’t attempt to collect, then the ticket prescribed 20 years ago.

Wasn’t a scam. I remember getting the ticket. And picking up trash for it. Guess I never paid it.

And if I did get scammed for $117 then good for them. Was worth the group text with all my old buddies who were there.

By paying you admitted guilt. Now is when they come after you for accrued interest.

I was there! (PCB spring break 1999.) I think that’s the year we were supposed to see the Black Crowes at La Vela but they no-showed.

Was some good times. They were starting to crack down back then. Cant even imagine how much they mess with college kids today.

They likely turned over all of their open tickets to a collection agency. The collection agency keeps 30% of whatever they collect. You should have thrown that shite in the trash.

It appears the city of PCB needs it more than I do. RIP La Vela

I got a ticket for underage drinking in PCB spring bank circa 1999. It wasn't pick up trash AND pay a fine. It was either/or. They'll void the ticket if you picked trash. Since I was a broke college kid who couldn't afford the ticket, I picked up trash. Pretty sure you didn't have to pay that if you picked up trash.

I think you’re right about the trash and voiding the ticket. But we got several that trip so who knows. One of the best spring breaks of all time.

I was there too. I was driving a truck full of my friends and Kentucky chicks to the club when I spilled a freshly made Screwdriver all over my lap and vehicle interior. The police threw on their lights, but pulled over the car in front of me.

I feel like I should pay part of your ticket.
