Still haven't signed an edge, and we need a CB.

Downs!

This is a deep draft at WR. You can grab a 1 in the second.

Could be setting up to be Delane at 8 and Bell at 40

Well if you got a tingle I would say Tate is the safest pick and Lemon has highest ceiling but I would pick none of them at 8. After we trade down twice in the first we should have several good WRs to choose from.
And maybe a TJ Parker.

The high value ones will be gone except for baby arm Bain

Not happening I can't remember the Saints ever trading down in the first. I think it was 2007 and we traded down in the 2nd, but the Saints dont trade back they trade up.

Keldric Faulk would probably be available.

I don't know if that'd be considered a reach, but I guess it all depends on what type of player the Saints coaches want.

Faulk isn't a one trick pony either. He lined up all over the line of scrimmage at Auburn.

I thought he was intriguing myself but not sure we would go for him because of the lack of production

He's a high character guy

quote:

Coach Freeze has spoken publicly about Faulk's selflessness, including how he used his own NIL money to help a walk-on teammate stay in school

I get it but that's because he was asked to do more. He'd line up in a two technique. Coaches and teammates have talked about his techniques and just how he carries himself.

I'm not pounding the table for the guy, but I think he meets some important critiera that the Saints covet.

He likes to see like a lber head always up looking. Likes to actively engage people then beat them left or right. Big dude is he considered 3-4 lineman?

Atleast 1 of Downs/ Bain/ Styles will be there. I highly doubt we look past those 3.

I think he could play in a 3-4. I’m probably higher on the kid than most.

No you make a good point there. We know for a fact we were going to pick Mykel Williams last year but didn’t think Banks would be there.

Williams only had about 4-5 sacks per season too and he’s got that same body type as Faulk. I would like the pick if Styles isn’t there

He'd be an edge rusher. I don't know if he is what Staley is looking for? But at the same time Granderson seems out of place at times but it doesn't matter what I think. Grando was being asked to do more it seemed like in the Staley defense than the DA defense.

I wouldn't pass on Downs nor Styles, but we have three off ball LB's so unless there are more curve balls down the road, I don't see them picking Styles although I'd love it if they did.

Been watching a lot of rando Saints games and Ive really noticed how hard he plays every single rep. We seem to have a very mixed D line.

he does play hard. He still got 6 sacks which is the second highest total he's gotten in a season ever.

the highest was 8.5 in 2023.
