On Monday, Trump told a CBS News reporter, who shared the comments in a post on X, that “the war is very complete, pretty much.”

“They have no navy, no communications, they’ve got no Air Force,” the president said, adding that the U.S. is “very far” ahead of his initially stated timeframe for the war of four to five weeks.

Trump also said that ships are now passing through the Strait of Hormuz and that he is “thinking about taking it over.”

I've always posited the option that we do this and nothing changes long-term and the regime remains in place.

don't we at least have to continue on until the shipment of replacement missile parts arrives by truck from China?

1) The US and Israelis will have given the people of Iran the opportunity to take to the streets and over run THEIR govt - should they desire.

- Yes, some will die in the process. But how bad do they want FREEDOM.

2) The KO to Iran’s military and missile ops knocks it back at least 30 years.

It’s time for the people of Iran to have their own William Wallace moment. The U.S. shouldn’t do it for them with formal regime change by us.

Their air force and navy were never a threat. It's the missiles and drones they are still launching that are. Also seems like regime change isn't happening. So what have we accomplished that signals victory right now. I really hope he doesn't quit this thing too early and we are right back over there in the next few years.

not to mention the setback to the regime's willingness or abiltiy to fund proxies and global terrorism or disrupt (again) the peace process in the ME

I mean hopefully they quit but right after he said this more missiles and drones were launched across the middle east from Iran, so I don't think they are quitting. Iran is a country that you have to leave with absolutely nothing after you get done, because if you don't we will be repeating this again in a few years if not sooner.

The job isn’t close to be done and they’ll slaughter their citizens when we stop.

He’s nervous over the economical impact here.

I get that but the physical problem is Iran is geographically 3 times the size of Ukraine.
