meh. i think we'll miss his leadership qualities more than anything. there is no guarantee he will even keep playing at a decent level at his age

Its been 2 hours on opening day my dude.
Let's wait a few days for other moves before putting our whole defensive need list on the draft.
I think we get Chaisson to replace Cam. Maybe could still be in play for a LB. CB is the question.

We drafted Davis' replacement last year...we have Stutsman who this staff loves! Defense got younger and more athletic at a cheaper price

I could certainly be wrong, but I don't see many more FA additions. I think they'll resign Olave, and they'll address defense in the draft.

They don't need to do a damn thing to keep Olave this year. And next year he can be tagged.

I’ve been saying for a while that we need to be in on Chaisson. I think he and Young make a great duo…….and grab another one in the mid-late rounds. Edge is deep in the draft this year. Love Cam, but I am ok letting him walk……because I don’t think he repeats last yrs performance.
Not to mention his pass rushing metrics actually regressed

I think it can free up another $10mil in cap space. So we may need to do a damn thing depending on whose available.

What's the point of the question? Olave isn't going to get cheaper, we could free up salary this year, and we are most likely keeping him. Those are all reasons to do something this offseason. We don't have to do anything but there definitely can be needs.

Also, I thought i saw that they have been hammering out an extension for a while. It feels like a when not if.
