It's been reported that the lines are out into the parking garage, which is also causing traffic to backup trying to get to the airport. In addition, to the staff shortages, losing precheck lines, etc., many TSA agents are getting fed up and have stopped reporting to work.

My wife went through security at MSY this morning around 9am. Reported no problem.

It is also just spring break. Not to say the partial shutdown hasn't impacted things, but we get these videos/stories every year during March.

I flew out this morning, 10am flight. I have clear and there was one other person in line, but general boarding was maybe 100 people deep.

Some people are certainly missing flights everywhere. What makes it worse is that their luggage is gone with the flights to their destination with no one to claim it.

No line at all between 530-7 at MSY this AM for pre check.
