Giving Braun one last chance to prove himself as an outfielder?

It's stupid. The stupid experiments are about to end.

I think, with no one like Frey in this year's lineup, it's sort of a way of showing that Braun is above Harden in the hierarchy going into that game. DH is a little more interchangeable right now than on field positions compared to last year.

Can't wait for Stanfield to get back.

Not sure I totally understand what you’re trying to say. We know Braun is above Harden in the hierarchy based on him having 36 AB’s compared to Harden’s 8. We didn’t need this game to show us that…

I can't wait to see Stanny back in the outfield. Braun is not outfielder, first long ball today he flat out misplayed it when it should have been very catchable, that's when the bad shite started. Harden might be an outfielder but he isn't going to replace the outfield main 3 when Stanny is ready, which hopefully is for the Vandy series.

Thought the same! That Boneheaded move resulted in us being down 2-0.

I wouldn’t be mad at seeing Braun at 1st instead of big pop up for a game or 2

Stanfield is a lot more valuable than I think anyone thought he would be. Just to have the outfield locked down going into SEC play would one less thing too worry about.

I think you missed his point. Obviously Jay isn't trying to show us fans anything. His post was implying that Jay would rather find ways to get Brauns bat in the game than Hardens and that may mean that we need Braun to play OF sometimes so this was to get him reps there.

Not that I really agree with it. Harden looks like a guy with limitless upside to me but he needs a lot of polishing. I'd be trying to get him all the reps I can with Stanfield out. But Jay knows what he's doing
