Just a PSA for those driving on Stanford Avenue in Baton Rouge near LSU- the street is flooded by the light by Wampold Park. Some larger vehicles are driving through, some cars backing up. You may want to avoid the area and find a different route until the water recedes.

There was a stretch from about 2009-2015 where these were set up every weekend.

My truck nuts were completely submerged. I emailed my councilman here in the posh and bucolic St George area, and started it with “ Listen up podnuh”as any good baw would.

When I lived in the Crescent in 2020, that same area was flooded with about 3 feet of water.
I had a brand new truck at the time and was concerned about driving through it since there was three of four cars that stalled and were pulled over to the side of the road.
I was going to chill out and let the flood subside until I saw a silver Tesla S power through it with no problems at all. The water sheeted over the roof of the car. After I saw that, I drove through it with no problems at all.
