I think most here would enjoy it. Genuinely…

Not saying folks will agree with everything obviously but I thought it was nice to hear

Adam Schiff and Don Lemon were the panel? Was he trying to get his audience to kill themselves? Has to be the single worst panel he’s ever had.

He basically mocked them the whole time. Even trapped them once giving a quote about authority for a President having the right to bomb a country.

They said it was too vague and not justified.

Then Maher said it was the quote from Obama admin to bomb Libya

Edit: FWIW him having those two in the panel and giving them shite, after a few weeks of having Boebert, MTG, and other MAGA folk… was nice to see him be a dick to obvious Liberal posers

100%

I disagree with him on many things. I’ve seen him live and watch his show. He’s a prick to both sides from what I see.

That said, I enjoyed this monologue bc while he’s calling out Trump he’s also calling out and showing proof that it’s not blanket disagreement or disdain.

I dunno thought it was refreshing that yes, it’s okay to say hey these things are good even if you don’t love the politician

It's hard to blame Trump for wanting better coverage considering all of the bogus coverage he gets. That's essentially all of Maher's ammo here. He's roasting Trump for asking for better coverage. He does do a good job or pointing out that he has been supportive of Trump on things he thinks are good, but Trump seems to have been asking him to come over to the good side completely and Maher refuses. He still needs to get in his jabs, even outright accusing Trump of pay for play shite.

Maher is a snake, imo. Just clever enough to see the way the tide is flowing and to know how to hedge his bets.

I dunno, Trump posted several times this AM or at some point this week about Maher calling him out for the things Maher showed proof in his monologue simply wasn’t true. He supported Trump’s decisions on those things and more.

“The good side completely” to me means agree with everything Trump does. That’s just ridiculous. There is no way you personally have agreed completely with everything a politician has made a decision on… or maybe you have I dunno

Also, he is a comedian and entertainer… you could be right

I love it when they do that.

The sooner we get back to the idea that we can agree on SOME things the better.

Not watching Maher smut with two figs on his panel.

Imagine giving Lemon a microphone to lie with impunity.

Trump is super sensitive about his coverage. Trump isn’t just asking for fair coverage; he is asking for fawning coverage. It’s true that he doesn’t get fair coverage from most of the media, but he does get fair coverage from Maher - it’s a bit of a leftist perspective but it’s fair.

Adam Schiff falls right into Bill Maher’s trap as he criticizes a statement he thought was from Trump but was actually from Obama.

MAHER: “This statement from the administration: ‘The president had the constitutional authority to direct the use of military force because he could reasonably determine that such use of force was in the national interest.’ That’s too vague for you?”

SCHIFF: “Totally vague.”

MAHER: “Okay. Because that’s from Obama about Libya.”

Brutal setup. Watch Adam Schiff try to dig himself out of this one.
