Saudi Arabia has stepped up direct engagement with Iran to try and contain a war in the Middle East that is causing havoc and stressing global markets, according to several European officials.

Israel told Trump he cannot attempt to secure peace until Israel gets what they want. Maybe this is the US's back-back channel so as not to upset the boss.

Maybe, but I do not believe Israel is in control here. The USA changed the name of the Department of Defense to the Department of War. The USA is at war with IRAN and the USA will not stop or extend the war until the USA is ready.
