If Trump endorsed Letlow, why wouldn’t he endorse Paxton?

He made his Letlow pick while Thune was at Phil’s Oyster Bar in Baton Rouge with Lurch.

I ask the OP question in good faith. I’m not saying he wouldn’t endorse Cornyn, but I do think (or really hope) he’d require more concessions than “I promise to find a way to pass the SAVE Act.”

If Cornyn saves the Save Act it’s worth it, plus Paxton has a lot of baggage for a run against a Democrat who will say anything to attract moderates

Letlow can't lose Louisiana and Democrats aren't contesting it. Paxton could lose Texas. Would he be a big favorite, yes, but could he lose? yes.

Cornyn could conceivably lose too.

Here are the concessions I would get from Thune (bc let’s be honest- Cornyn is just one of his obstructionist proxies) to make the endorsement

1-there is a talking filibuster only
2-the save act is actually signed into law
3-recess appointments
4-eliminate blue slips
5-Ken Paxton becomes AG, so we are done with Law Barbie forever

He should and I think he will. The opponent is a dem who will not be a problem, especially in Texas.

This is the deal they struck with the RINOs in the senate

Markwayne to the cabinet.

Some kind of RINO iinterim Senator to the Senate appointed by the RINO governor in Oklahoma

Speaking filibuster plus votes for SAVE ACT

Bondi fired “resigns” - and goes to Fox News in Judge Janine’s Spot making a couple million / yr.

Paxton appointed (by Mark Wayne’s sub,
Cornyn and one other RINO) - so Murkowski and McConnell are irrelevant

Everyone saves face. And we have RINO vs Gay Communist in Texas

Trump’s term ends.

Paxton runs for Cornyn’s seat when Cornyn retires to work for whatever fricking useless think tank employs Paul Ryan or he sits on the board of Raytheon or some other creepy globalist shite

Because Paxton winning makes it easier for the Dem to win the general in TX.

I believe Trump would endorse Paxton if that were not the case

Have you seen what the democrat that's running has said publicly? Paxton is a beast and gave the Biden administration all they could handle the entire 4 miserable years potato head was in office.

No one who claims the mantle of "MAGA" or "Draing the swamp" should ever endorse Cornyn. Selling out to John Thune is... maybe worse.

agreed, 880,000 voted for paxton,

what does it say to them?

6 more rino years for an ACT

what a deal

I urge people to read it.

besides it will be in court, and of no use this november

it creates more big gov, too

not what I voted for.

Could it have anything to do with voting to impeach?
