Just bought it. Does anyone have it yet? Thoughts?

I would be skeptical of a book cover showing a runner sliding into third base from left field with the third baseman wearing a batting helmet.

Good point, but I'll take my chances and don't always judge a book by its cover. There's not much out there about the history of LSU baseball beyond Bertman's book (just his years).

ETA (and media guides).

I mean, I guess that sounds better than Swampass Alex Below Average Park in SEC Box Stadium.

3rd baseman wearing a helmet. This must be from the Pulmonary era.

Honestly, the only market for a book about college baseball is here in LSU Country - so if anyone is going to write a book about it and hope to make any money at all - best feature LSU. Nobody loves it and support it and consume it like we do.

That’s cool.

My friend, I’m actually a prince of Nigeria and my bank account got hacked. I have billionaires, so I can pay you back, plus some. Just send me 10K to hold me over.

This is what separates an ordinary post from a great one.

I’ll never forget the Bugs Bunny cartoon in which the foreigner, trying to trick Bugs out of his rabbit hole, asks, “Would you like some blackberries pie?” Just that “s” on the end of “blackberry” took it from good to great.
