Kind of off topic but anyone heard more on LSU's KJ Johnson. Former gymnast tried out for WWE but I dont think she was offered a contract, was told to train more an come back. Was wondering if she will continue to train and try to audition again. She has a good look that would fit WWE

Well I'll try to explain it as briefly as I can I'm just trying to figure out how pissed to be at my CPA, not that I think it's gonna be a huge issue regardless
Back in January I got a weird letter saying the revenue dept or whatever for the state of Tennessee was unable to reach me at my address or some weird shite. I call the number and I don't remember what they said it wasn't very helpful but they told me one of my LLC's had no paid it's franchise/excise taxes in 21,22, or 24 (since no state income tax in Tennessee some businesses have to pay this). I call my CPA and tell them what all has transpired and they say nothing to see the taxes have all been paid as they were supposed to. Ok then
Fast forward to about a month ago and my CPA tells me the state of Tennessee is now auditing that LLC bc those franchise/excise taxes haven't been paid. My CPA says not a big deal and I know the taxes are only a couple
Hundred dollars a year to start with but WTH? Should I fire my CPA? This is just stupid

Did you ever get proof of payment or see evidence that the returns were filed other than your CPA's word? Seems like he could give you a copy of the returns or some kind of proof of payment or confirmation numbers or something.

I have copies of all the returns but my shite is so complicated who knows as far as proof of pmt. I kinda of trust them to handle all of that, obviously that may not have been the right move.....they tell me what checks to write to who and I do

I guess you could check your bank records and see if the checks cleared? If not, they may have never been sent, a mailing error, or the state misapplied them.

Idk I need to call my cpa again, I scanned some form and sent it to them they wanted me too but between the ice storm and some other business stuff I've had going on I really haven't given it much thought
EDIT: I went back and looked and what they had me sign was a "Franchise and excise tax return" for each of the years it allegedly wasn't paid. The form includes the taxable income from each of those years (there's no income tax why does that number matter?). It almost like they just forgot to do it but I'm just guessing
