Rumors flying for days that Poatan is fighting Jon Jones on the WH card. Regardless he is moving to HW for sure now.

He Could also be fighting Gane soon for what could be an interim HW belt while Aspinal recovers from eye injuries. Tom Apsinall has also asked for his outright release recently so he can go box, but Dana won't do that. Relations with him at the moment are very icy.

Also, congrats to Jiri for returning to LHW champ.

This is the way. Not a fan of the immediate title shot with Gane though. I'm a firm believer that someone should have to "put in the work" at a weight class before getting a title shot. Even if it is just one non-title fight. You have to establish yourself in the weight class before you fight for a title.

Would be a historical megafight if so.

Not much more for Alex to accomplish except a Jon Jones skin on the wall and yet another belt in a new division. Alex could probably post up and defend the HW belt until he turns 50 in that poor division if he doesn't get bored and retire before then.

This isn’t really possible with how much of a shitshow HW is currently

Normally I agree but Gane and Aspinall are just so far ahead of everyone else in HW that I just don’t think having one of the fat slobs fight for the belt would be entertaining or competitive.

The guy has stepped up time and time again and done everything asked of him. He is at the point in his career where Dana will let him do whatever he asks for.

Last day or two have been pointing more toward Gane or Aspinall vs Poatan on the WH card.

Looking like Gane now. If bet because ofTom's eye status and UFC spat.

If I'm predicting the card, Illia vs Gaethje for the co-main and Poatan vs Gane for the Main...or vice-versa.

No undercard.

Others that sound like they will probably join the WH card:

Covington vs Nickal

Conor vs Nate

Masvidal vs ____

In the past yes, but t's hard to agree when we have seen Topuria, Islam, and Chimaev win the immediate title fight with ease. HW was already weak and then both Jones/ Aspinall stepped away. Gane has been a disappointment since his initial hype and he's still a step ahead of everyone else.

I'd rather see Ankalaev vs Gane than any of the other HW's honestly.

Jon Jones isn't fighting anyone with a legit chance to beat him. It isn't happening.

His title shot timeline is pretty crazy. Gets title shot vs Francis, lose, beat Tuivasa, gets title shot vs Jones, lose, best Spivac, gets robbery vs Volkov. Gets title shots, pokes Aspinall eyes and no contest, may now get title shots vs Pereira.

That’s 2 legit wins, 1 robbery win, 1 no contest = 4 title fights.

Ilia already said it’s not like happening at WH. The idea of an American getting viciously KO on this massively hyped card might not sit well with Trump.

I think you see Conor/Diaz on Netflix. TKO has no interest in paying Conor or anyone truckloads of money. They already have their media rights deals.
