Dan Simmons has died -SIAP

He passed on Feb 21st at 77 yrs of age. Authored Hyperian and The Terror and many others over several genres.

Hyperion was excellent. Highly recommend but it's a long four book series.

Well that is definitely sad news. I read Hyperion years ago and loved it! I’m actually currently listening to it on audible (on book 2, Fall of Hyperion).

Has anyone read Ilium and Olympos? Been meaning to give those a read. May have to do that soon.

Summer of Night is one of my most favorite horror novels. A lot like "It" but much better imo.

Agreed on Summer of Night. Unlike King, Simmons knew how write endings.

I really enjoyed Hyperion. I think I read all the sequels. But that was years ago.

Simmons wrote this 20 years ago, and he was cancelled for it.
