Scream 7 Discussion (SPOILERS)

Felt like the most Scream-feeling Scream movie since the 4th
The killer(s) reveal was very underwhelming, but still better than the Scooby Doo villan-esque ending of the 6th
By far the gnarliest/goriest entry in the franchise IMO
It was great seeing Lillard. Gale's entrance was top notch. The twins were actually tolerable in this one.
All of the reviews can't be taken serious with the FREE PALESTINE people trying to review bomb the shite out of the movie.

I agree with everything you said. With a better reveal this is probably #2 for me.

i feel for the Palestinian people, truly, and am no fan of Israel, but the absolute retardation of the leads deciding to side with a group that would seem them in Burkas with genital mutilation to reduce them to breeders was one of the biggest own goals i've seen in Hollywood.
ETA: my wife and i will go tomorrow. I plan on having my face buried in her chest for the majority of the movie because I hate horror and avoid gore, but she loves them from her college years.

Just got out a little while ago. I don’t think the franchise has seen Ghostface killers this weak before. Totally underwhelming reveal - one of which I think most people saw coming. Neve Campbell and Isabel May both shined. However, most of the kills were weak though I did like the one at the bar.

Just walked out about an hour ago. Killer reveal was pretty underwhelming.

It was a lot of fun but yeah really goes off the rails in the final confrontation and the killer reveal feels weak. Kind of a victim of trying too hard to have a big twist, so the person you least expect is also the person the least interesting to be the killer
Some of the dumber in movie decisions by people trying to escape in this one

Agreed, I loved it. The reveal was dumb but everything leading up to it was stellar. Kevin Williamson proves once again that he is Scream.

Giving them an extra half point for the Turnstile needle drop toward the end

And extra points for continuing to find unique kills. This one has some flair for sure. They threw in all the fun callbacks from the previous movies while expanding on them. Just a really solid script, but again, the reveal was…well it didn’t really make a whole lot of sense. So the neighbor was so much of a fanatic of Sydney that she wanted to continue her role as the final girl, but she also killed her husband and then also wanted to kill Sydney and her kid and husband but also loved her to the point of moving in next to her. And then some rando dude at a psych ward who befriended other psychos and hatched a plan to kill Sydney? I’ll have to rewatch it to her their little speech because I didn’t quite understand their motivations. Also, I’m fairly certain they used an ai song for the soundtrack during credits roll.
Also, the trailer for the new scary movie was hilarious

Solid movie but underwhelming Ghostface reveals. I knew it would be Anna Camp before the movie even started and the other guy I thought it could be him but he was such a minor character I kind of forgot about him, didn’t even know the actor.

The moment he said Stu was in the asylum I immediately said “yea it’s this guy”

I knew it was him because it’s Ethan Embry, knew they wouldn’t resist a 90s callback actor as being tied to the ending
I was like “empire records!” (And can hardly wait) Elbowing the gf

Just got out. I had fun with it. I enjoy cheesy slasher films so I was entertained. Just shut your brain off and enjoy
