Werenski straight up bullied MacKinnon off the puck and then put it right on Hughes’ stick.

Unbelievable game and hustle. Mcdavid not getting back really looks bad. Of course they had been playing for offense the whole time and that’s the reason they stayed back constantly. It bit them in the arse on 3 on 3

Blows my mind their OT strategy was essentially just, "Ok let's take turns driving the net 1 on 3."
Yet they STILL got caught out on a break. They played that OT horribly.

Canada can make all the excuses they want but the OT was a good picture of the game in a nutshell. Canada had numbers and couldn't finish where the US turned it around and did. Canada had opportunities but scoring chances don't count on the scoreboard. They couldn't solve Hellebuyck and couldn't finish plays. They deserved to lose. If you're that much better than the US and you let them hang around and failed to put them away, you deserve to get bit and that's exactly what happened.
