My impression of the stadium

Stadium was really nice.. Did have more of a Triple A ball park feel to it. Firework display seemed like it lasted forever.. lol The new HD Jumbotron is great and I never caught a big whif of cow dung inside the stadium.. Outside was a diff story.
Things that need to improve.. Concessions.. Lines were horrible and they were extremely slow using calculators to add 4 and 5 together CMON! You are student workers did you fail math? Also I literally got 8 chips with the nachos which worked out to 50 cents a chip! I have never seen such a paltry serving at any sporting event. Other than that the stadium was great going to be an awesome year!

How were the hotdogs and nachos?

It does have a Triple A ball park feel to it, and that is not a good thing, IMO. The video board leaves a lot to be desired....or at least the person who works it.
I noticed there is no tribute to the retired numbers of Skip, Wally, McDonald, and Smith. I would hope that there will be a special ceremony for that in the near future. No way they leave this off the outfield wall.
The view in right field can be better. i.e. The Intimidater.

So, now that we got your impression of the price of nachos, can we get an impression of the stadium?
The stadium is very nice. Top class. High tech. Long overdue. It is simply beautiful.
I can't wait to bring my future kids to games there. I can tell them how on opening night, I was in the 1st row and got to see a helicopter fly over the stadium for 30 minutes and a train pass by during that time.

Sallywheeler,
"and that is not a good thing imo"

What I meant was it will be harder for people like Chris Guillot to get the crowd going. It's impossible to hear the K lady or the 2 out rally crew unless you're right by them.

It was still pretty loud in RF...

That helicopter was insane, just hanging out right behind center field as we came to bat.
Then he hovered only about 200 feet away from the concourse under the grandstand and blew over cups, trash, and a suites sign.
It took about 10 people to give him the
before the jackass finally got the idea and went away.

Wish I could have been there. If I wasn't going to Nashville and Atlanta Sun-Tues I'd have made it.
Is this happening anytime soon? Tell your wife hey for me.

they showed them on tv, and it did look ridiculous, and if i heard right, they said there were only 4 concession stands in the stadium. miss all kinds of shite standing in line

I went to them twice during the game and missed only 3 pitches. Very HUGE and fast in RF...plenty of people working.

I thought the video board was really nice but they dont use it nearly enought and it took them till the 5th inning to figure out that you need to put the batters stats up longer than ohhh .0000005 seconds long. Plus they only showed about 3 replays during the game.. Would be nice to see things like close plays at 1st etc..
BTW wtf was up with that helicopter flying 20 feet up and buzzing by the entire stadium?

Some of us go to the games for baseball...not Chris Guillot and the K Lady.

I'm bringing an RPG for the next game, so we should be good.
Seriously though, that shite was annoying.
