Are you implying that 2% of the GDP of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, is coming from the GOVERNMENT?

Somehow this will be spun as a positive on here. Like the 1,000,000 job loss revision that took place

Well boy wonder it was expected to be 2.5% so not only can you not read but you can’t add either. It’s literally in the articles discussing GDP

Yes cutting government jobs is a great thing! You are as stupid as the OP

War Room covered it this morning and the consensus was anywhere from 1.5-2% was lost due to the government shutdown. The bigger economic news is the SCOTUS ruling Trump has no power to protect the American people from the US Corporatocracy's off shoring of US industrial and manufacturing production to our global competitors/enemies.

Idiots that think massive losses in any sector is good for the economy need to seek help.

Oh its almost like I have been saying for over a year now. H1B and offshoring are killing the economy.
Trump loves H1B

US government spending last year - about $7T
GDP last year - $30.5T
idiot = ignore

GDP = Consumption + Investment + Government Spending + Net Exports (Exports - Imports)
Government spending fell significantly (e.g., one report notes a ~5.1% drop, subtracting ~0.9 percentage points from GDP growth). This was heavily impacted by the extended 43-day federal government shutdown in October–November 2025, which reduced federal outlays substantially (largest drop since the early 1970s) and weighed on the headline number.
What appears to be bad, is actually good. When government spending falls especially at the current rate of spending I consider that a net positive.

You're equating 43 days with an entire years worth of value.
Idiot indeed.

It's telling when 2% of gdp growth is basically "baked in" if the government is turned on.

Dems got what they wanted with the shutdown

Finally an acceptable response. Thank you!

War Room has the best geopolitical and economic news coverage of any show currently streaming.....can't say I watch for Sloppy Steve.
I consider myself more America First than MAGA. I think MAGA was hijacked by a lot of opportunistic faux MAGA politicians...... Lindsey Graham types.
