Hee Haw featured buck owens and roy clark at the same time in their primes and we didn’t know how good we had it

Dad worked Hee Haw several times in the 70’s. It was always a big deal when they actually showed the drummer. LOL

The little blonde was Barbara Fairchild and the first older guy was Tennessee Ernie Ford.
The fellas singing in Spanish was Johnny Rodriguez and Pat Boone was named dropped as himself. Johnny Bench was swinging the pitchfork like a baseball bat.
I didn't recognize the last two. I think the old man was a bluegrasser like Lester Flatt and I wonder if the pretty brunette was Jessie Colter.

Great memories, good times. Much simpler world back then.

Johnny Bench was my baseball idol growing up and seeing him in that and singing! That was great! Think he got the microphone when he swung the pitchfork

I'll always remember, "Call BR-549" from Junior Samples
That and Gloom, Despair and Agony on me .
Those were good times back then

Pat Boone was probably the most incongruous guest to participate in that skit.

Years ago we went to Antoine's Restaurant in the French Quarter. The place was almost empty that day so the waiter took us on a tour. We saw autographed pictures of kings, queens, Elvis, Sinatra...you name it, they were there on the walls. When he finally seats us in the middle of the big dining room, who is the celebrity photo on the pole right next to us?
George Lindsey.
All these famous people and we got Goober.
