What is a decent area and stuff to do in shreveport? I know its not the best city and bad in certain areas but there must be a half decent part of town I can stay in and go out drinking for 1 night. Let it rip.

Home2Suites on Youree or the Hilton downtown, although some people don't like staying downtown. I've never had any issues downtown.

As for drinking for the night, I can't help you there anymore. My days of going out drinking are long gone.

I did always love Noble Savage downtown though. I think it has changed owners since I used to go, so I don't know how much it might have changed or not.

In Shreveport the downtown bar scene has collapsed, and the best watering holes are either nowhere near a hotel or they are in a casino. Good thing is rideshares are plentiful and way cheaper than most places. Downtown Hilton, Home2Suites near 70th St, Holiday Inn Express off Fern Ave, Courtyard Pines Rd are all very nice.

If you aren't against staying across the river, the East Bank District in Bossier City is becoming a fun spot to drink. There's a Residence Inn within walking distance, and a Wingate a few blocks away.

The Remington is a cool place to stay and cost the same as Hilton. The artist suites are nice. It also has a very nice bar. If you like beer I'd uber to Great Raft or 7th Tap.

I wouldn't stay downtown just because there's really not much to do there.

I would either stay near East Bank or near 70th and Youree.

Seventh Tap, Flying Heart, Superior, Oyster Bar, Ki Mexico, Frank's, Torchy's, Silver Star (the one on Youree).
