President Donald Trump on Thursday pardoned five former professional football players — one posthumously — for various crimes ranging from perjury to drug trafficking. The pardons were announced by White House pardon czar Alice Marie Johnson. Ex-NFL players Joe Klecko, Nate Newton, Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry and the late Billy Cannon were granted the clemency.

Here's a treat for any Ole Miss fans still upset about Lane Kiffin leaving.

Wow, didn't know about the play that BC made on defense at the goal line.
Learn something new everyday.

That move by Lane Kiffen to LSU, which prevented Ole Miss from winning the Natty, will be their back monkey for the next 100 years.

One of the most memorable moments in my life
- The day before, I heard the first shouts of "GO TO HELL OLE MISS!!! - GO TO HELL!!!!" echoing across the campus.
- I was there with my wife and parents, sitting in the North end zone, about 2/3 the way up - in direct line of Cannon approaching us.
- the mood during that play went from "hope we get lucky" to absolute pandemoniac excitement as Cannon's image got larger and larger in our view.
- then came the next series of plays where that excitement began being doubted as the Rebels got closer to the south end zone, getting farther away from our ability to see the details of exact position.
- and finally the abject exhilaration from the whole stadium when Cannon, Rabb, et al stopped the 4th down play just short of the end zone.
- I just recently found the program from that game while I was packing stuff for our latest move requiring major downsizing of stuff we could move.
- I gave that program to my granddaughter - who was a Golden Girl during her tenure at LSU 2005-2009.
- She now has it framed and displayed in a prominent position in the LSU ROOM of their new home.
ahhhhhhh - the memories - what a blessed life
