It's sovereign Chinese waters, like the south china sea.
Sink them all, send a message.

Fishing vessels in International Waters, outside of an Exclusion Zone? Sucks for the them. There's a gaggle of ocean going trawlers and processing ships that follow the Artic currents either side of South America chasing after Cod, Halibut....etc. Oh ,BTW, everybody's hero Javier Milei allows China to operate a satellite station in Argentina tracking US satellites.

snip:
President Javier Milei’s administration in Argentina is taking steps to curb, rather than expand, Chinese space activities, contrary to the suggestion of new, active authorization. In late 2025, the government halted a new Chinese radio telescope project in San Juan amid closer ties with the US. However, the existing "Espacio Lejano" station in Patagonia, operational since 2018 under a 50-year, low-oversight agreement, remains a major concern for the US regarding potential tracking of satellite communications.

I fished costa rica in 2017. The locals said the the Chinese built the main roads and new soccer stadium in return to fish their waters. The pacific side was literally fished out of shark for their nasty shark fin soup.
The Chinese are a plague on the world.
